In the media we often times create the same stories to gain attention to be heard. We tend to talk about the teams that always seem to make the playoffs like the New England Patriots, Pittsburg Steelers, and Green Bay Packers. But what about talking about a team that didn't make the playoffs last year? Could a team that didn't make the playoffs last year come in and win the super bowl?

The Chargers could be that scary sleeper team. Chargers as a team, has been slept on for a while and it could be for the fact that they have been under achievers for the past 5 years. Being considered "the other Los Angeles football team" the Chargers should feel disrespected. Their team is stacked on both sides of the ball and all they hear about is how great the Los Angeles Rams are. Both teams being great, its going to be interesting which team performs better.

On the offensive side the Chargers have a proven veteran quarter back in Philip Rivers. He plays with a swag of a 23 year old, but is smart like he's been playing in the league for 23 years. He is their leader and heart and soul of their entire team.

Melvin Gordon can run the ball with the best of them. After a disappointing rookie year, Gordon has bounced back better than ever with 10 plus touchdowns the past 2 years in the league.

Lets not to forget their stud of a receiver Keenan Allen. If Allen takes care of his body, Allen's numbers are up there with the best receivers in the game.

So now that we know the Chargers can score a bunch of points, can the play defense? Yes. The defense is sleeper good, not great. Although not as talented as the offense, the Chargers can put some pressure on the oppositions quarter backs.

With quarterback hunters, Joey Bosa and Melvin Ingram, they might be the best pass rushing duo in the league.

Not to mention they have a underrated top 5 corner in Casey Hayward who is a playmaking machine to lock up a receiver.

With newly acquired first round pick safety, Derwin James, the back end of the defense should be secured.

With that being said, you won't want to be behind against the Chargers, because these guys were meant to stop the pass. With their offense being very talented, that's going to be hard to overcome because they can score a lot and stop the pass... on paper.

If teams aren't careful, the Chargers could be the Philadelphia Eagles of last year and take the league by storm. We'll see how the Los Angeles Chargers pan out this year. It should be exciting news for the city of Los Angeles.

The hottest topic towards the end of the season was the man the 49ers call, Gucci Garop. After San Francisco traded the New England Patriots a 2nd round draft pick for him, Jimmy is looking like a steal of 2017.

When the 49ers traded for Jimmy, the 49ers were struggling to pull victories out. The team couldn't pull W's although they were very close in almost every game. The 49ers front office believed they needed a change so they made an aggressive move for a QB.

The aggressive move was to trade for Jimmy Garoppolo. Although he was going into his last year of his contract, the Niners knew that if he wasn't as good as they thought, they would end up with a top 10 draft pick in a draft loaded with talented QB's. Of course this didn't happen. In fact, he exceeded expectations.

When the 49ers didn't have Jimmy at the helm, they were 1-10. When Jimmy took over, the 49ers won 5 in a row. Finishing with a 6-10 record.

Although Jimmy hasn't lost a game as a 49er starter, he has a lot of people wondering if he is in fact, the real deal. Players in the league have publicly come out with strong opinions for whether he is great or if he is overhyped.

A story showing how great he is, would be from a place where no bad usually comes out of. After Jimmy's success in San Francisco, there was tension in New England. The story broke out in the media that Bill Belichick didn't want to trade Jimmy Garoppolo. The tension between Tom Brady and Bill Belichick has never been higher. Ever since the story broke, the Patriots best player has been taking action this season by not showing up to voluntary mini camp. Which he has never missed in his career.

Other players like corner back Jalen Ramsey of the Jacksonville Jaguars have come out and publicly got on the media to say Jimmy's high praises is too early. He mentioned that although they were one of the teams that had lost to the 49ers when Jimmy took over, there wasn't enough film on him.

In my opinion, the 49ers should be very scary with Jimmy Garroppolo at QB. It is a small sample size, but he has shown a lot with the little time he had. It should be a very exciting time for 49er fans.

For fans that love the NFL and NBA, it is that quiet part of the year where you don't have either sport running at all. So you are forced to come up with interesting headlines that you think will be bold predictions for the upcoming year.

I know this isn't very bold but the writing on the wall this year has all signs pointing at Saquan Barkley, aka Saquad, for rookie of the year. Who can blame them though?

Coming out of college his skills at Penn State translate to the perfect NFL back. He has instincts, speed, jump cuts, power, catching ability, and not to mention, he can also return the ball for you if you really need it. Saquad's talent is mind boggling and honestly would not surprise me if he is considered the best back in the league after the year is over.

When I look at Saquad's position, it reminds me of the same situation a few years ago when Ezekiel Elliott was coming out of Ohio State. Zeke was drafted onto a talented offense where Dez Bryant was in his prime which made defenses scheme for Dez and not for Zeke. For Saquad's situation, he has Odell Beckham. Odell is considered the best receiver and the defense has to scheme to stop Odell first before they scheme to stop Saquad.

The Giants should be a scary team this year. If teams in the NFC East are not careful, they could go from worst to first.
