Unlike the NBA, the NFL actually has a level playing field where you can literally go from worst to first. Dynasties in the NFL usually do not last long because young players impact the league a lot faster in the NFL than the NBA. The NBA is usually not as exciting to some cities because teams will get stacked with all stars and only 3 or 4 teams will actually have a chance to compete for a championship.
Today we are going to talk about Super Bowl predictions. This year I am excited for the season because we have a lot of young teams that are going to be electrifying to watch.
As of right now, the Patriots are the heavy favorites in Vegas to win the Super Bowl with 5-1 odds. Although the Patriots have been great for years, this tension between Brady and Belichick hasn't produced to be bad product on the field yet, but as father time catches Brady, time will take its toll on the Patriots.
For that reason, I am taking a different team to head to the Super Bowl representing the AFC. I believe the Jacksonville Jaguars are going to be the team that represents the AFC because their defense is very talented. They are a sleeper team that doesn't have much love in Vegas with 18-1 odds to win the Super Bowl which is very surprising considering that they were close to beating the Patriots last year to head to the Super Bowl. Although, I still don't believe in Blake Bortles, their running game with Leonard Fournette and their stout defense should be able to carry them to the Super Bowl.
In the NFC, the team that I believe will be in the Super Bowl is not the defending Super Bowl champs of 2018. Instead, I think it will be another team with a strong defense. The Minnesota Vikings have a real solid team. They are not very flashy but their team is all around really good. With 12-1 odds, their team upgraded this offseason in quarterback with Kirk Cousins. I believe that this add will take them over the hump that they couldn't get over last year.
With that being said, the winner will be the Vikings. I give the edge to the Vikings because their offense is simply better than the Jaguars offense. It should be a very close game because both defenses are very strong.
